Safe Girls Strong Girls is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization committed to breaking the silence of Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA) and giving girls their voices back. We are doing this through our one of a kind summer camp, Camp CADI.
Meet Our Founder
Amy Barth, Founder & Board Chair
amy@safegirlsstronggirls.org
Amy earned a B.S. degree in Child and Community from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts and has completed graduate courses in Counseling Psychology. She has 20 years of experience working with children and teens in crisis. She founded Teen Line Crisis, a peer counseling hotline in New York; started a play therapy program in a shelter for homeless mothers and children; and was Director of the Suicide Prevention Program at a New York City high school.
For the last 9 years, Amy has been National Director for an exchange program and in charge of all the counseling issues. She is also the author of three books: Annabelle's Secret, 101 Tips For Survivors of Sexual Abuse, and 101 Tips For Recovering From Eating Disorders.
As a survivor/thriver, and the mother of three daughters, Amy is committed to keeping girls safe, preventing CSA, and providing a safe place for girls who have been traumatized to heal. It is her vision to take Safe Girls Strong Girls to every major city in America. She would also like to expand the program to offer a separate camp for boys who are CSA survivors.
